Protein Packed Chocolate Black Bean Smoothie

It is packed with everything you need to get through your day, whatever that may entail. It is full of great carbs, protein, magnesium, antioxidants and fiber. I have a great list of recommended ingredients that add even more power to this morning boosting smoothie.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1 Tbs. almond butter
  • 34 pitted dates
  • 1 heaping Tbs. cacao powder
  • 1/2 cup black beans (canned, dried, or boxed)
  • 1 banana
  • 1 pitted ripe avocado
  • 1 cup of ice

Instructions

  1. Combine almond milk and dates in blender. 
  2. Continue adding in the bananas and avocados, either frozen or fresh.
  3. Once you have added those ingredients to the blender, pour in a half cup of organic black beans.
  4. Afterwards, add in your cacao powder.
  5. Lastly, I add in the almond butter.

Notes

After blending ingredients, feel free to add more ice or almond milk to get the right consistency.
