Day 5
Sedona, Arizona
We woke up extra early (5am) today to get our EST E-learning completed for the year. We had to transition to E-learning and complete things we never thought possible. I am very proud of the girls and how they have stayed on task even from the road. I am happy to have a much needed break from E-learning though!
We were referred to local mobile wash services to give Bandit a much needed bath. Poor thing has been through a lot and it showed on her exterior! With all of this downtime, I decided to check out the RV resort laundry facilities to wash all our dirties before we ventured on. I can’t tell you how much having a few stationary days has recharged me and the kids.
We packed up our bags and a lot of random items to check into a local Sedona resort, L’auberge de Sedona, for a much needed break from the confines of our RV. We made it there in time for a beautiful outdoor lunch and if you ever make it out this way, it should be on your list to visit.
Our room wasn’t ready so we decided to explore the town of Sedona on foot. We visited a few local shops and stumbled our way into one of the many healing crystal shops so that we could all ramp our chakra energy with these healing stones. We spent a lot of time reading the healing powers of all the various stones before we made our selection. Brad picked mostly bracelets dealing with his lower chakras and Eva adorned her wrist with healing power of the heart and throat chakra. Ayla picked an adorable beaded pouch where she could wear her grounding stones around neck.
We got the call that our room was ready and I am not sure you have ever seen a family move so quickly! The amazing staff at L’auberge upgraded us to a 2 bedroom house and we are so very grateful. We all hit the showers right away. Brad opted to utilize one of the many outdoor showers and I washed, scrubbed, lathered, and washed again. My hair hadn’t seen any shampoo for days and I was very grateful. Ayla even showered and then immediately took a whirlpool bath!
We decided to stay in, order room service and watch many many episodes of Emily in Paris! Excited to get back out of the trails tomorrow!
