Day 6
Last Day in Sedona, Arizona
4 miles logged (on foot, hiking Courthouse Butte Loop)
We are loving our time here in Sedona. We have thoroughly enjoyed the break from Bandit and the road and are feeling charged for another beautiful hike here in the Red Rocks. After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we set off to tackle the Soldiers Pass hike, but we couldn’t find a parking spot to save our lives.
I quickly researched another hike and settled on the Courthouse Butte loop on a whim. It turned out to be a beautiful and challenging loop around Bell Rock and the Courthouse Butte loop.
The hike all the way around was about 4 miles, which has turned out to be the max the girls can handle without complaining! It is really a gorgeous hike and totally different from the hike to Devil’s bridge. Ayla is really into “obstacles” and challenged her strength by free climbing a small red rock. She is such a rock star! Of course I was nervous for her, but she tackled it no problem. This is really a beautiful hike with mostly flat terrain that is perfect for the whole family! There are little small loops you can take if you want to add mileage.
We headed back to the hotel for an afternoon of napping (for me), swimming for the girls, hot tubbing for Brad and momma got a little Peloton workout in for a good sweat. I love having access to my Peloton account when I am on the road and I love their cycling workouts!
We finished binge watching Emily in Paris and ordered thai food from a local spot called Thai Fresh and Natural. It was full of amazing veggies which means I loved it and the girls hated it…Eva was complaining the whole time! Oh well, can’t win them all!
