3 Wines Under $30 for your Next Dinner Party
Recommending wines is honestly one of my favorite things to do. If you have seen my Spanish Wine Tip video or my Pinot Noir Recommendations video, you know that I take wine pretty seriously — my wine cellar is proof of this. I want to show you the 3 wines I love, all under $30, for your next dinner party.
I love to entertain — well, I did pre-Covid BS, and I select the wine I serve deliberately. Pairing wines with food can be very challenging, and confusing for many. That is why I have a chosen these 3 wines for you to try at your next dinner party — post COVID of course.
Wines I love Under $30
Sauvignon Blanc – Miguel Torres 2017
$12.99
I love this Sauvignon Blanc for a variety of reasons. Miguel Torres is a certified organic wine which, as you can guess, makes me love it so much more. Additionally, with its fresh fruit and floral notes, it pairs beautifully with seafood dishes, baked or grilled chicken, and even some moderately spicy dishes.
Specifically, try my Roasted Jalapeno Salmon Recipe for this wine. The recipe only takes about 25 minutes to prepare so it is a breeze to prep for several people, and it is a guaranteed crowd pleaser.
Pinot Noir – La Crema 2018
$29.99
I absolutely LOVE this wine. It is from my favorite region of domestic Pinots, Willamette Valley, in Oregon. Ranked #64 on the Wine Spectator’s Top 100 of 2020, this wine is top notch.
The notes of this wine range between a sharp raspberry flavor to a green tea finish with hints of basil and spice. It pairs beautifully with several dishes.
Try this pinot with grilled chicken, a charcuterie board with nutty cheeses and cold meats, or with game meat — like duck. Cheeses like feta or goat cheese are ideal. My lemon chicken one pan dinner is great pairing for this wine. Also try my French lentils, they’re incredible.
Tempranillo Red Wine – Bodegas Aster 2014

Lastly, check out this Tempranillo from my favorite region of Spain. Ribera del Duero has some of the best wines, at an affordable cost.
With its complex forest berry nose and hints of sweet spices, bay leaves, and black liquorice, this wine has a bold flavor profile. It is powerful in the mouth and pairs great with aged cheeses, roasted and grilled meats, Mexican food and tomato-based sauces.
