Mindfulness and Productivity
Clearly we are more productive when our mind has the strength and ability to focus on the task at hand.
Meditation is simply an exercise to help bring your mind into laser focus.
Productivity is a result of focus and being able to come back from distractions. When we are able to bring our minds back to the present moment, we are more focused, and more productive.
How many times per day do you find yourself going through the motions of an activity, with your mind elsewhere?
Maybe you read an report or email and when you got to the end only to realize you didn’t comprehend what you read because your brain was still stuck in a fight you had with a spouse at home?
What is Mindfulness ?
Mindfulness is being the present moment without judgement. To be fully aware of where we are and what we are doing, and not being overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us.
You can practice mindfulness anytime, anywhere, in any situation.
Being mindful means interrupting the auto-pilot we tend to live in day to day and taking the time to appreciate the world around us both internal and external .
