Today at the Zen(ish) Mommy podcast, we are discussing anxiety with our guest, Justine Carino. Justine is a licensed mental health counselor, anxiety treatment specialist, and host of the Thoughts from the Couch podcast. She also offers an online program for perfectionist called The Path to Peace. Needless to say, she is well qualified to be having this discussion. So, what is anxiety? How does it show up? Is it the same for everyone? Does perfectionism cause you anxiety or aid in controling it? Are you anxious or high achieving? Let’s dive in and find our answers.

Justine explains that the way we think automatically influences the way we’re feeling. And the way we’re feeling influences the choices we make, the behaviors we do + the things we don’t do.
During today’s conversation, we will learn about the different levels of anxiety experienced by people across the board. With an emphasis on Selective Mutism, a form of anxiety. Additionally, we touch on core beliefs and their effects on us and our anxiety.
“Our lifestyles can contribute so much to our levels of anxiety.”
